here. I don't have an itinerary but I'll update the map on the right to let you'all know what I'm up to.

First it's to Paris to watch Lance bring back the Maillott Jaune, then London, Edinburgh and then Ireland.

I'll Keep you updated.

August 15th - Bruges -Hi everyone - I made it back to the continent a few days ago and spent a few days in Bruges, Belgium which was exactly what I needed. It's crowded with Euro tourists but not many Americans. To give you an idea of how much I liked it in 4 nights in Ireland I shot about 20 pictures, in 2 days in Bruges I shot about 130! I'm now in Amsterdam where everyone is stoned, trying to get stoned or trying to get money to get stoned. Oh well. Good thing I'm staying in Haarlem a few miles out. I'm uploading now so you can take a look.

August 18th - Amsterdam -Just about to jump on the train and head up to Copenhagen via Germany.; It's a long ride and will take about 14 hours all told. Luckily most of it's on a night train so I'll hopefully be crashed for most of it.; After cruising Amsterdam on Friday, I hung out at the beach yesterday and cruised to an open air museum today. I'll post pics when I get to Scandinavia.; See ya.

August 22nd - Stockholm -A quick note from Stockholm,  its gorgeous up here right now and this city is kind of like what San Francisco should be like, clean, pleasant people, great green spaces, on the water. The only problem is that they have to pay alot for stuff and there winters are 7 months long.  The Internet connections are really slow from Scandinavia so I probably won't get any new pictures up until Berlin in about 4 days.  Taak -Doug

August 27th - Oslo Hey there, I just completed my whirlwind trip through Scandinavia and all I can say is that everyone should see this place.  I have about 300 pictures that I need to upload when I get to Berlin tomorrow  (18 hours by train) that will hopefully bring this place to life for you'all.  The trains in Scandinavia are like flying first class, Very comfortable and the food is great.  If you are ever coming to Europe, first class all the way.  I will be in Berlin for a few days and then down through Germany via the Rhine and Romantic Road and into the Alps.  PS + Check out the map link on the right and you can see my route.

August 30th - Berlin Hi there, I am on my way to the Rhine River valley tonight but I've just put up some more pics.  Won't have time to get Berlin up, but this city really makes you think.  Check out the new Scandinavia shots!

September 2nd - Rotenburg -After coming out of Berlin I took a night train to Cologne and then a train and boat to Bacharach.  A friend an I did some serious hikes up the Cologne Cathedral and then took the train to St. Goar where we hiked up to the castle.  After a couple of nights in Bacharach on the Rhine I jumped on a bus this morning and am in this quaint midevil town of Rottenbug.  I will be off to Munich tomorrow and then into the Alps! Can´t wait.

September 4th -Munich- Reason no. 321 that the Internet is good for you....to get you out of the BEERHALLS in Munich.  Here's dinner, 1 liter of beer, a big pretzel and a doughnut.  Ouch.  So much for tri-training.  It took me two days to figure out whether or not I wanted to come to this city because 1) my guidebook didn't cover Munich and 2) time;  Well Munich is now city #1 or 2 on my list of places to live in.  Other cities are prettier but this has just enough history and yuppiness to make it real.  I came to do some western things, order some English books and upload some pics but I could stay for a while.  Check out the new pics. Chuus.

September 5th - Munich- I think I am all caught up, got my books, uploaded my pics and now it's Alps time.  I am staying in a village with 100 people so I doubt they have a high speed Internet connection but I will be touch when I can.  Tchüs.

September 10th - Munich- I am back in Munich for 3 hours after seeing the Disney-esque Neischwanstein Castle.  My 3 days in the alps were awesome! I got some serious hikes in and my legs are toast.  I am off to Austria for a few days then Prague.  Check out the swiss pictures, I must admit that even I thought they were breathtaking when looking on a real monitor.  Be careful out there this week.
